Boban Kusturić (52), the head of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of Interior Aviation Administration, was found dead in his weekend house in the Banja Luka neighborhood of Česma.

Unofficial information indicates that it was a suicide. The body was found around 9:00 PM by a friend of Kusturić. Everything was reported to the police, and an investigation is underway, which will be carried out by police officers of the Banja Luka Police Department and the duty prosecutor of the Banja Luka District Public Prosecutor’s Office, as confirmed for ATV.

Kusturić was born on September 8, 1974, in Banja Luka. He graduated from the Military Academy of the Yugoslav Army – Air Force and Air Defense Department, in Belgrade in 1997, earning the title of aviation officer – pilot. He performed pilot duties in the Army of the Republic of Srpska from 1997 to 2005.

After that, he continued his work at the Republic of Srpska Civil Aviation Directorate as the head of the “SAR” – RS Helicopter Rescue Unit. He served as the director of the Helicopter Service of the Republic of Srpska from 2008 until April 2025, and following its reorganization and the formation of the Aviation Administration, he performed the duties of the head of the administration.

He was decorated with the Order of Miloš Obilić by the President of the Republic of Srpska
