The Student List will officially launch its campaign for the parliamentary elections in Novi Sad today, while the “Students Win” rally will present some of the candidates and campaign leaders campaign. Student Lazar Geratović told N1 that from the city where the canopy collapse claimed 16 lives, the “final wave of the struggle for truth and freedom” is beginning.
Student Geratović said that at today’s rally in Novi Sad, they will reveal some of the candidates from the student list to the public, as well as the leaders of the campaign itself for the parliamentary elections.
He also said they would call on people to get involved in the pre-election campaign in every way possible.
He said they are launching the pre-election campaign in Novi Sad because the canopy collapsed in that city and killed 16 people, for which no one has been held accountable even after two years.
“This is the city from which the wave of the struggle for freedom and justice began, and now the final part of our struggle for truth and freedom is beginning. We felt that, accordingly, it would be a good option for this final wave of the struggle to begin precisely from this city,” Geratović told N1.
In the coming days, he said, candidates from the list will submit all the necessary documents and leave their signatures, after which they will begin decentralized collection of signatures for the parliamentary election list at the level of Serbia.
“As soon as we submit it, the full list of candidates will be publicly announced and made available to everyone,” he stressed.

“Students Win” group founded
The citizens’ group “Student List – Students Win” was founded yesterday in Belgrade with the message that the upcoming elections pose only one question – “Serbia or the Mafia.”
The signatories of the citizens’ group are Marija Maruna, Katarina Šćepanović, Goran Perišić, Stanislav Milošević, Aleksandar Čupić, Miljan Salata, Milica Jovanović, Sanja Fric, Mirjana Nikolić, Radomir Saičić, Dušan Đurđević, Željko Hubač, Maja Crnogorac Đurić and Miroslav Andrić, according to an announcement published on the student movement’s website.
The N1 interlocutor said that the signatories are also part of the student list.
“The main message is that students are winning, and that is now a fact,” he added.
He also said that he celebrated the news that the elections had been called.
“I mean, 490 days after the first demand for snap parliamentary elections, we really waited for them for a long time, and finally we got them. Now comes, probably, the most important period of our lives, which will determine both our fate and the fate of all citizens of Serbia,” he concluded.
The rally titled “Students Win” is scheduled for 5 p.m. in front of the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad.
