Novak Đoković spoke out following Roger Federer’s induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame and congratulated one of his greatest rivals and friends.

The Swiss player officially became a member of the Hall of Fame in Newport, and the induction ceremony was particularly emotional. Federer was unable to hold back his tears during his speech, in which he recalled his career, his family and the people who had accompanied him throughout his four decades in tennis.

A special place in his story was also reserved for the generation to which Đoković belonged, alongside Rafael Nadal and the other greats who defined one of the goldenest eras in the sport.
