Kristina Trifunović achieved a historic result on her first appearance for the Serbian national team at the World Shooting Para Sport Championships in Korea. The Serbian representative won the gold medal in the R2 – 10m air rifle, standing position event, and secured Serbia’s first qualification quota for the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
Trifunović recorded a score of 628.4 points in the qualification round, which was enough for second place and a spot in the final.
She continued her excellent performance in the final series and managed to win the gold medal, capping her first appearance at the World Championships for Serbia with the greatest possible success.

The gold medal carries additional significance because her result also secured Serbia’s first qualification quota in shooting for the LA28 Paralympic Games.
For Trifunović, this was also her first appearance at a World Championship, her first final and her first medal at a major international competition in a Serbian jersey.
