The Serbian national football team is set for a huge boost, as Dušan Tadić will once again wear the Eagles’ jersey.
As reported by “Sport Klub”, the experienced footballer has agreed to return to the national team, and his name should be on Serbia head coach Veljko Paunović’s next squad list.
The aforementioned outlet reports that all formalities have been completed and that confirmation of Tadić’s return to the Eagles has arrived from the Netherlands, where the former captain of our national team plays for NEC.
Paunović is expected to announce his squad list next week for the upcoming Nations League matches.
Tadić should therefore once again be part of the national team in the new Nations League cycle, in which Serbia will face Greece, the Netherlands and Germany.
During his long international career, Tadić made 111 appearances for Serbia and is the record holder for the most caps, while he also managed to score 23 goals.
The experienced footballer last played for Serbia at the 2024 European Championship. However, talks he held in recent days with Ranko Stojić, the head of the Serbian Football Association’s sporting department, changed his mind, and he decided to return to the national team.
