Devastating wildfires surrounding Los Angeles have spread to Hollywood Hills, one of the city’s most popular neighborhoods. A clip from Joe Rogan’s podcast suggests that these fires could have been anticipated, as he cited the danger of wildfires as one of the main reasons he moved out of Los Angeles.
A video of the popular podcaster Joe Rogan, who predicted a disaster like the current one in Los Angeles several months ago, has been circulating widely on social media.
In his podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience”, Rogan warned that when the “right wind” catches one of California’s many wildfires, the flames could burn Los Angeles all the way to the ocean.
Now 57 years old, Rogan wore a Los Angeles Fire Department T-shirt during a conversation with fellow comedian Sam Morril in July, explaining why he left Los Angeles. One of the main reasons was his constant fear of wildfires.
“I’ve been evacuated from my house three times because of fires,” Rogan said. “During the last one, two houses in front of mine burned down to the ground.”
He described how it was “damn terrifying” to watch the fire approach his home, and how he, his wife, and children decided to leave before an official evacuation order was issued.
“The fire eventually went through our neighborhood and destroyed 40 houses,” he added.
Rogan recalled a particularly unsettling conversation with a firefighter.
“He told me, ‘One day, when the wind is right and the fire starts in the right spot, it’s going to burn through all of L.A. to the ocean, and we won’t be able to do anything about it.’”
Rogan also shared that the firefighter mentioned how people in Los Angeles had been “lucky with the winds” so far, but warned that “hell will break loose” when one of these fires becomes unstoppable.
Rogan’s story about his conversation with the firefighter has been repeated multiple times on his podcast over the years, but it now takes on new significance in light of the current disaster.

Trump Also Spoke About the Danger of Fires
Three months ago, during his election campaign, then-Republican candidate and now President-elect Donald Trump appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast. Alongside current election topics, their discussion touched on Los Angeles. At that time, Trump pointed out the danger that a wildfire could pose to the city.
Donald Trump was mocked for sounding the alarm on the California water/fire crisis during his interview with Joe Rogan.

Fires Claim at Least Five Lives
Previous fires in the area have claimed at least five lives, destroyed hundreds of homes, and pushed firefighting resources and water supplies to their limits.
More than 100,000 people have been ordered to evacuate as dry, hurricane-force winds hinder firefighting efforts and fuel the blaze, which has been uncontrollably destroying drought-stricken areas since Tuesday.
