CONFLICT IN THE MIDDLE EAST ESCALATES: Iran targets U.S. base after the U.S. sank five oil tankers! (VIDEO)

Iran*** today claimed responsibility for an attack on a U.S. base in Jordan after the United States (U.S.) destroyed five Iranian oil tankers in the Gulf. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said it had fired missiles at the Al-Azraq U.S. base.***

The Jordanian military said that 20 missiles were fired at Jordanian territory, French media reported.

The military said that 18 missiles were intercepted, while two fell in uninhabited areas.

Iran claims it targeted U.S. military facilities – locations where fighter jets are stationed.

The attack came a day after the U.S. military’s Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that five oil tankers linked to Iran had been destroyed.

Washington describes the operation as a response to recent Iranian attacks on a U.S. Navy warship.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned that the U.S. would continue such operations.

“Every time Iran tries to attack American ships, they will lose oil tankers,” Rubio said.
