Serbia’s women’s volleyball team has advanced to the semifinals of the European Championship!

Zoran Terzić’s side defeated Greece for the second time in the tournament, once again winning 3:0 (25:14, 25:20, 25:17), securing a place in the battle for the grand final.

Serbia immediately entered the match decisively. A five-point run at the start of the set was launched by Bošković and Kurtagić, and Serbia very dominantly and comfortably took the lead.

Early in the second set, a serious injury occurred to Greek volleyball player Georgie Loula Angelopoulou. The entire arena fell silent, with only the screams of the player, who had suffered a serious knee injury, being heard.

The match continued afterward, and Greece played better. Serbia struggled until the end of the second set, when it finally managed to break its opponent’s resistance.

At that point, it was already clear that Serbia would reach the semifinals. Our volleyball players put together a solid third set and advanced to the semifinals with a maximum-score victory, where they will face the winner of the Germany–Turkey clash.
