A. V. (34), a member of the KPS, was arrested after allegedly keeping a woman from Kruševac, with whom he was in a romantic relationship, locked in an apartment in Sokobanja, where he beat and abused her.
By order of the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Aleksinac, A. V. (34), from the territory of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija and a member of the so-called Kosovo Police, has been placed in custody for up to 48 hours on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unlawful deprivation of liberty to the detriment of his romantic partner, I. Ž. from Kruševac.
According to the prosecution
According to the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Aleksinac, the suspect is charged with unlawfully depriving the victim of her liberty during the period from July 27 to July 28, 2026, by holding her in an apartment in Sokobanja.
According to the prosecution, while she was being held captive, he treated her in an especially cruel manner and inflicted injuries to various parts of her body, which have been classified as minor bodily injuries.
In accordance with the Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence, the suspect has been issued an emergency measure temporarily prohibiting him from approaching or communicating with the victim for a period of 48 hours.
During his detention, A. V. will be questioned by the competent Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Aleksinac, which announced that it will keep the public informed in a timely manner about the further course of the proceedings.
