The case of Radule Bojovic, a Serbian police officer from Montenegro who was arrested in Chicago by ICE agents a few months ago, has taken a new, unexpected turn. Namely, as Serbian Times has learned, the lawyer who represented Bojovic was recently arrested, and what was found and seized in his office stunned the investigative authorities.
– Police found about a hundred immigration files in the Chicago law office that were nearly identical to Bojovic’s. The lawyer practically transcribed the cases, attempting to secure American papers for his clients with identical stories, regardless of whether it was an application for asylum or a green card, says our well-informed source from the legal world.
He adds that Bojovic was initially arrested because American immigration service agents thought he was also involved in this legal scheme in some way.
– It was later proven that Bojovic was not involved in these manipulations after all, but it is still not clear to anyone how the arrested lawyer fabricated cases for years without any of the competent authorities establishing it or initiating proceedings, our source notes.

Meanwhile, police officer Radule Bojovic has returned to work at the police station in the western Chicago suburb of Hanover Park, where he worked before his arrest.
Bojovic, who is a Montenegrin citizen, was arrested in October after the Department of Homeland Security claimed he had overstayed his tourist visa, which he received ten years ago.
He subsequently posted bail and was released.
The Village of Hanover Park later stated in its announcement that he had passed all background checks and that the federal government had approved his right to work.
The Hanover Park Police Department posted on Facebook in August that Bojovic had graduated from the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy and begun “an intensive 15 weeks of field training and evaluation,” preparing to serve the local community.
