Serbian citizen Enisa Leković, who had been reported missing during the catastrophic floods in Nepal, has been found and is safe.
The good news was announced by her daughter Ines on her Facebook profile, following uncertainty and the search for her mother. As she stated, the family received a photo today confirming that Enisa is safe and on her way to Kathmandu.
Ines thanked everyone who joined the search and provided her with support during the difficult moments.
“I just want to thank everyone who tried so hard to help me. You are incredible, and I will be forever grateful to all the people who helped me and provided support during this period.
Today we received a photo. My mom is safe and on her way to Kathmandu.
I truly cannot describe the feelings I was going through… I hope such a disaster will never happen again.
I pray for Nepal and for all the families who are searching for someone or have lost someone… I know what you are going through and I am praying for you…
Thank you for everything.
This will never be forgotten, nor will all the lives that this disaster claimed,” Ines wrote.
The news that Enisa had been found came after a period of great uncertainty caused by the catastrophic floods that struck Nepal and the wider region.
Her daughter had previously sought help through social media in finding her mother, and has now confirmed that Enisa is safe and making her way toward the capital of Nepal.
While the search for the Leković family has ended with happy news, the consequences of the disaster in Nepal are enormous, and numerous families are still waiting for information about their loved ones.
