The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, while appearing on the RTS news, called on the winner of the parliamentary elections in Hungary, Peter Magyar, to say who is “godfathering” the great friendship between him, Viktor Orban, and Robert Fico, if he knows, and told him that Serbia is not his country.
Vucic was asked to comment on the statement Magyar gave to N1.
“He said that he knows who is godfathering such relations between Orban, Vucic, and Fico. I am asking him ‘who is godfathering them,’ he has no clue. This is not his country and he has no jurisdiction whatsoever to conduct investigations in this country. If I didn’t care about the relations between Hungary and Serbia, I would call that statement stupid,” Vucic said.
Vucic added that the investigation regarding the placement of explosives near the gas pipeline near Kanjiza “is being conducted in a very professional and serious manner.”
According to him, the investigation has established a lot.

“We will continue and finish that investigation in a very professional manner, which Magyar has absolutely nothing to do with, but we will inform him and point out to him that he was wrong when he babbled about how someone rigged something in the elections. I believe that in the coming period we will talk and be able to tell each other to our faces what we think,” Vucic said while appearing on Dnevnik 2 on RTS.
The president previously said that he is proud of the fact that Viktor Orban and he have built the closest possible relations between Serbia and Hungary.
“I expect that we will soon sign an interstate agreement with MOL regarding NIS”
He also said that negotiations with the Hungarian MOL are continuing and that the interstate agreement will be signed before the deadline.
“We had a conversation with a representative of MOL and they expect the signing of an interstate agreement soon; it is not easy to sign because we have our own conditions, and they have theirs. Ours are for the operation of the refinery, but I believe we will find a compromise. The deadline is until May 20th, and we have a license until April 17th which will, I hope, be extended,” he said.
