Serbian kickboxer Miloš Cvjetićanin suffered defeat in his bid for the Glory heavyweight title.
Despite having the crowd in Rotterdam on his side and being just one step away from a historic achievement for Serbian combat sports, Cvjetićanin was knocked out by Rico Verhoeven’s challenger Mori Kroma, who successfully defended his championship belt.
The fighter from Novi Sad and his opponent entered the bout cautiously, but with different strategies. While the Serbian focused on putting together combinations with his hands, Kroma relied heavily on kicks.
Kroma took the opening round thanks to a strong combination near the end, but Miloš responded in the second round with a superb right hook.
In the end, however, none of that mattered, as he was knocked out in the following round. Kroma caught him with a flying knee, bringing the fight to an immediate conclusion.
“This is sport. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. No matter what happens, never give up. Maybe I’ll fall again one day, but I will definitely get back up. I’m sorry for this bad episode, but I will definitely return. I want everyone to believe in themselves. Just believe, and you will be unstoppable,” Cvjetićanin said after the fight.

His opponent showed no restraint in celebrating the victory.
“I’m still the f***ing champion, Mori ‘The Black Ghost’ Kroma! I wanted the knockout. I told myself to do what I do best, and that’s exactly what I did. I trained hard for three months. I didn’t have time to recover after the previous incident before my last fight, but this time I did, and this is the result,” an emotional Kroma said after the bout.
