Milovan Vesnić and his son Đorđe Vesnić successfully completed the Czech round of the FIA European Hill Climb Championship (FIA EHCC).

They, each in their own class, recorded second place on the Ecce Homo track in Šternberk. To make the success even greater, both of them also set track records in the second heat.

Only the home racer Marek Rybníček was better than the older Vesnić in Group 3, and also a Czech, Vojtěch Bejda, was better than the younger one.

Milovan, who drives an “Audi RS3 LMS” that has been converted to all-wheel drive, did not hide his satisfaction with his success, but also with what his successor showed.

“I am overjoyed with what our whole team showed in the Czech Republic during all three competition days. Đorđe did something that was practically impossible. He was perfect, he fitted into the competition brilliantly, and I am here to help as much as I can. As for my result, I showed that everything we did on the car during the winter made sense. I hope for even better results in the continuation of the season,” said our trophy-winning automobilist.

On the other hand, Đorđe, behind the wheel of a “Renault Clio IV RS”, went out on a racing track for only the second time in his life, and that on one he did not know, and immediately broke the record and climbed the podium.

“Second place is perhaps a bit unexpected. We worked hard, my father prepared me seriously, and that effort, obviously, paid off. I am overjoyed,” said Đorđe with his first trophy in his hand.
