A man, believed to be a Serb, was killed last night in a shooting in Barcelona.
The shooting occurred around 9 p.m. in the inner courtyard of a building in the Zona Franca neighborhood, when a man dressed in black fired several shots into the victim’s back.
The victim was hit as many as four times, and the residents of surrounding buildings were the first to run to his aid. Then, upon arrival, members of the police and emergency services tried to reanimate the man, but he passed away shortly after.
The shooting on Sunday occurred just 50 meters from the place where a man was killed on May 16, using the same modus operandi. Less than a month later, the scene repeated itself, leaving passers-by in shock.
Multiple patrols of the Catalan police and the Barcelona city police were dispatched to the scene. The identity of the deceased is currently unknown, although police sources state that he could be a citizen of Serbia.
Meanwhile, the perpetrator fled after firing the shots and the Catalan police are searching for him. Sources state for this media outlet that it is a large, strong man in his thirties, about 1.80 meters tall, who was dressed in black at the time of the attack.
