Saša Obradović is no longer the coach of Crvena zvezda, reports “Kurir”. As stated, after the defeat by Partizan in the semifinals of the ABA League, the legendary basketball player of the red-and-whites will leave the bench of the team from Mali Kalemegdan.
The change will be implemented as early as the Final Four of the Basketball League of Serbia, when the red-and-whites will have a new name on the bench.
This is the second time that Obradović is unsuccessfully ending his story with his beloved club.
An agreement between the management and the still current coach regarding the modality in which they will end cooperation is expected.
Why were there no results again?
Many things did not align. The team slumped in the crucial part of the season and was thus left without success in both the EuroLeague and the Aba League. That is the greatest responsibility of the coach.
Of course, the players should by no means be granted amnesty. Especially because of the million-dollar contracts they received at Mali Kalemegdan. And there will be a lot of changes there for the upcoming season as well.
A lot of work lies ahead for Zvezda in order to finally start achieving what the army of fans wants…
