The president of the SNSD, Milorad Dodik, stated today that BiH will not become a NATO member because Republika Srpska opposes it, emphasizing that Srpska strives to increase the intensity of cooperation with Russia in all areas.
“Our policy does not include joining NATO. We are striving to increase the intensity of cooperation with Russia in all areas – in sports, culture, science, and politics,” Dodik told Tass.
He pointed out that nothing has changed in the political choice of the Serbian people.
“Serbs love and continue to support Russia. Russia is now in a justified and understandable state of defense, and we hope it will emerge victorious,” Dodik said.
He stressed that only renewed cooperation with Russia can save Europe from collapse, whose economic success was largely based on access to Russian resources at a favorable price.
“Now that that is over, we see Europe in a difficult economic situation. Their indicators are very low. There is a recession, problems with the influx of migrants. Everything that is happening now could ultimately destroy Europe,” Dodik said.
In the future, Dodik points out, Europe can only remain successful if Russia helps it, and he hopes that this will be based on economic principles.
“It was good to develop the German economy when they were getting cheap gas from Russia. But as soon as American gas arrived, the price of which tripled, the German economic miracle collapsed. And I am sure that until Europe integrates with Russia, Europeans will not be able to achieve any success,” Dodik said.
SNSD President Milorad Dodik assessed that Europe, which has already faced major economic problems, will lose the most upon the end of the conflict in Ukraine.
“When the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, and the President of the United States, Donald Trump, reach an agreement, we will see the erosion of European elites, which has already begun and will eventually lead to their collapse,” Dodik said.
He assessed that there are no leaders in Europe who could do anything to change things, adding that the support for French President Emmanuel Macron is at 12 percent, and that is probably more among migrants than among the local population, while the support for the German Chancellor is also at a low level.
Speaking about a possible military conflict between Russia and Europe, Dodik said that he absolutely agrees with the position of the Russian president that Europe does not have the necessary muscles to wage war against Russia.
“His message is honest and direct. Europeans, try if you want, but we will not take any action,” Dodik stated.
He said that Russia is in conflict with Ukraine not because it wants to occupy foreign territories, but because those territories historically always belonged to Russia.
Dodik reminded that the leaders of the former USSR made decisions that were sometimes contrary to historical truth.
“That is why Crimea and a part of Ukraine are now returned to where they should be. Unfortunately, the Orthodox soul of the Russian people is also involved in politics. We always believed that people who share the same values and belong to the same community live in Ukraine,” Dodik stated, as reported by Srna.
He emphasized that Serbs also thought that the peoples of the former Yugoslavia were their brothers, but it turned out that this was not the case.
“Everything that happened to us here was part of the previous game that the West is playing against Russia,” Dodik said.
