The Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime (JTOK) today issued an order to the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ SBPOK to bring the suspected Minister of Culture, Nikola Selaković, in for questioning, considering that the legal requirements for this have been met, as the properly summoned suspect Selaković did not appear for the scheduled hearing on November 28, 2025, and did not justify his absence, according to the statement.
Minister of Culture Nikola Selaković did not respond last week to the summons of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime where he was supposed to be questioned as a defendant in the “General Staff” case investigation.
However, Selaković has been extremely active since then, he was on Informer television, where he attacked the JTOK, and on the night between Sunday and Monday he was at the SNS headquarters where the results of the local elections in Mionica, Sečanj, and Negotin were announced.
Selaković came in front of the Prosecutor’s Office and insulted the prosecutors
After the Prosecutor’s Office issued the order for Selaković to be detained, he appeared in front of the JTOK building, where he staged a performance by giving a statement to Informer.
“Since they are people who cannot function without lies, it is clear that they are a blocker-prosecutor gang that has broken away from both the state and the people. I will prosecute everyone who works against the state and against the people, and you can come with me to see if these are people who want to prosecute those who work for this country and who love this country,” Selaković said.
Selaković came in front of the JTOK, however, he claims they did not receive him.
“They said they couldn’t receive me. But that’s not important, it’s important that the citizens of Serbia know that a part of the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime has broken away. It is a criminal gang that is trying to usurp the state. They want to prevent the Parliament from passing laws, to forbid the President from commenting on their actions, they want to go for wine with people who are the main suspects in the Novi Sad tragedy,” Selaković stated for Informer.

Suspect in the General Staff case admitted guilt
Let us remind you, Goran Vasić, former acting director of the Republican Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments, Aleksandar Ivanović, acting director of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of the City of Belgrade, Slavica Jelača, otherwise the secretary of the Ministry of Culture, as well as Minister of Culture Nikola Selaković, are suspected in the General Staff case.
The “General Staff” affair was revealed a few months ago after the arrest of Goran Vasić, who admitted guilt during questioning at the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime (JTOK).
Vasić is suspected of falsifying documents due to which the “General Staff” was removed from the register of cultural properties, so that a luxury hotel could be built in its place.
