Our team arrived in Washington today, where for the next three days, we will provide hourly updates on everything related to the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump.
Upon arriving in the U.S. capital, we were met with dreadful weather. Icy rain and snow alternated throughout the day, and to complete the experience, secret services, police, and military had the entire city locked down. It was impossible to get from the airport to downtown and the White House, forcing us to walk the last two miles.
It might not be bad as a workout, but certainly not in a snowstorm with temperatures at minus 8 degrees Celsius, which Washington experienced today.
The last major event before Trump’s inauguration was a massive rally at the Capitol One Arena, where President Trump addressed his supporters. The arena was packed to capacity with people from literally all over, from every U.S. state, who waited for hours to hear the man they believe will bring positive change.
Above all, they expect him to improve the economic situation, prevent illegal immigrants from entering through the southern border with Mexico, and reintroduce traditional values in schools, free from the influence of the so-called WOKE culture. Supporters also hope he will reinforce clear distinctions between men and women.
In any case, listen to what those we interviewed at the event had to say…
In his speech, the night before the inauguration, Trump promised exactly what his supporters expect of him. He stated that he has been fighting alongside them for the past nine years against the most corrupt force on the planet and that starting tomorrow, he will begin America’s recovery.
In addition to Trump, his sons, daughter-in-law, and allies spoke, including Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla and the X social network, who has recently become a significant Trump supporter. Also present were MMA owner Dana White and actor Jon Voight, whom Trump introduced as his future representative for California, alongside Mel Gibson and Sylvester Stallone. Rocker Kid Rock and his band entertained the crowd.
All in all, we heard many words that sound promising, but whether they will be fulfilled remains to be seen.

In Washington, we also encountered many Serbs, including former Serbian Consul in Chicago Damjan Jović, as well as members of the newly formed Serbian-American Political Action Committee (PAC). As major Trump sponsors, they received special invitations to the inauguration.
But more about them in the next article…
