In the Braca Jerkovic neighborhood last night, a bloody traffic confrontation occurred in which Marko K. (44), a GSP driver, was injured.
After the incident, the attacker left the car and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The horror scene that unfolded last night in Braca Jerkovic Street disturbed the citizens of Vozdovac. According to information we have obtained, a verbal conflict over right of way escalated into a physical attack with a cold weapon, and then into an attempted running over.
It all started while the bus on line 18 was at a regular stop for passengers to exit. At that moment, the driver of a “Citroen” car blocked the path of the bus, preventing it from moving.
After a short verbal argument, the driver of the “Citroen” approached the bus driver’s window and dealt Marko K. two knife stabs in the arm area.
Attempted running over and collision
Despite the injuries, the angry bus driver got out of the vehicle and kicked the attacker’s car. That is when the situation nearly became fatal.
The driver of the “Citroen” suddenly accelerated with the intent to run over Marko K.
Fortunately, he missed the bus driver, but due to the speed, he lost control and slammed into a parked “Passat” car.
After the collision, the arrogant driver left his vehicle at the scene and fled on foot.

Condition of the injured
Marko K. was urgently transported by ambulance to the Military Medical Academy (VMA) where he was treated. The degree of injuries has not yet been officially confirmed, but according to initial information, his life is not in danger.
“It was terrible, shouting was heard, and then the car strongly hit the parked car. The driver just ran out and disappeared into the dark before the police arrived,” states one of the eyewitnesses for our portal.
The police conducted an investigation at the scene and are intensively searching for the owner of the “Citroen,” whose identity is known to law enforcement thanks to the abandoned vehicle.
