In Herceg Novi today, a man A.K. from the southern Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohija was arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of attempted rape.
The arrested man is suspected, as announced, of approaching yesterday, while performing construction work in an apartment in Herceg Novi where the victim, a Serbian citizen, was engaged in hygiene maintenance work, and trying to have sexual intercourse with her using force.
“Acting on the victim’s report, police officers immediately took urgent measures and actions, located the suspect in a short period of time and, after gathering information, on the order of the acting state prosecutor, deprived him of his liberty. The suspect will be brought to the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica with criminal charges for further jurisdiction,” the Police Administration announced.
