Dušan Vlahović is one step away from signing for Real Madrid! The Serbian ace is a big desire of José Mourinho, writes the Spanish portal “Defensa Central”.

Mourinho allegedly considers that the team needs a strong, physically dominant center-forward, or rather a classic “number nine”, and sees Vlahović as precisely the player who can meet all those requirements.

José Mourinho’s relationship with Dušan Vlahović is a mixture of great coaching respect, media provocations, and a constant desire to bring him to his team. While the Portuguese was leading Roma, the Serb shone in the Fiorentina jersey and then moved to Juventus.

Mourinho has on several occasions labeled Dušan Vlahović as the “ideal and modern center-forward” – physically dominant, aggressive, and deadly in the penalty area. Roman media wrote that Mourinho asked Roma’s management to do everything to bring him in, but Juventus was financially unattainable.

During matches between Roma and Juventus, Mourinho often shouted comments to Vlahović from the technical area, but publicly praised him after the matches:

It is interesting that when José Mourinho became the coach of Fenerbahçe two years ago, he also asked the Turkish club’s management to buy Dušan Vlahović. Quite simply, the Portuguese is in love with the Serb when it comes to football. Turkish and Italian media reported at the time that Mourinho personally contacted Vlahović and his agent Darko Ristić to test the waters for a potential sensational move to Istanbul.
