A man from Serbia died at Oktoberfest in Germany after being crushed by one of the machines at the amusement park.
According to reports, the accident happened last night, shortly before 10 p.m., and the victim was a Serbian man who worked as a security guard. He suffered life-threatening injuries at his workplace at Oktoberfest in the amusement park when he was crushed by one of the rides.
According to police, the 52-year-old Serbian citizen was resuscitated at the scene and then taken to a hospital in Munich, where he lost his battle for life.
The accident occurred on the “Hangover” attraction, an approximately 80-meter-high free-fall tower.
Preliminary information indicates that he was in an area where he was not permitted to be. It is suspected that a gondola then struck and trapped him as it descended at high speed with passengers aboard.
The area around the “Hangover” attraction has been cordoned off due to the emergency response, and police are conducting an investigation.
