BIZARRE SCAM IN CROATIA: Afghans arrested at airport with fake documents, headed to Germany as Duke Trpimir and King Ladislaus!

The County Court in Splithas remanded an Afghan national in pre-trial detention, while his minor brother was placed in a residential facility after they were discovered at Split Airport with forged documents issued in the names of Duke Trpimir and King Ladislaus, Croatian media reported today.

Their identity cards immediately raised suspicion among airport officials, and after verification, it turned out that the suspicion was justified.

The older Afghan was brought before an investigating judge, who ordered him held in pre-trial detention due to the possibility of flight, while his younger brother was placed in the Home for the Education of Children and Youth in Brda, Hina reports.

It was established that the forged identity cards were delivered to the Afghans in Athens, and that they traveled from Greece to Croatia in order to continue on to Germany.
