One person died in an explosion that occurred in an underpass in Split, the police announced. The police stated that after the report of the explosion last night, security and a blockade of the wider area of the event were established, and an investigation was conducted, the portal “Slobodna Dalmacija” reported.
According to information so far, there are no elements of a criminal offense in this event.
Police forces were immediately dispatched to the scene and blocked the approaches to the area, while due to the explosion, the entrance to the city from Domovinskog rata Street at Ravne Njive to the intersection with Solinska Street was closed.
The police stated that the exact number of victims and the circumstances of the event will be determined after the completion of the investigation.
