In the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija (AP KiM), extraordinary elections for the assembly of temporary institutions of self-government began at 7:00 a.m. Polling stations in the elections, which are being held after the parliament failed to elect the president of temporary institutions within the time limit determined by the constitutional court in Priština, i.e., by April 28, will be open until 7 p.m. Three coalitions, 17 parties, and one independent candidate are participating in the elections, and the strongest Serbian party in the Province – the Serb List (SL) is under number 119 on the ballot.
The turnout by 1 p.m. in the elections for the assembly of temporary Priština institutions is 15.10 percent, and by far the highest turnout is still in Serbian areas, in Zvečan as much as 34.51 percent, according to data from the central election commission (CEC) in Priština.
According to data published on the website of the CEC, the turnout in Ranilug by 1 p.m. is 34.36 percent, in Zubin Potok 25.01, in Novo Brdo 27.56 percent, in Gračanica 29.12 percent, in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica 26.68, in Štrpce 20.49 percent, in Parteš 23.05, and in Klokot 12.39 percent. When it comes to Albanian areas, the turnout in Priština is 17.92 percent, in South Mitrovica 14.52, in Peć 14.15, Prizren 10.52, Podujevo 12.12, Đakovica 12.10, and the lowest turnout is in Dragaš and amounts to 7.18 percent.
Metropolitan of Raška and Prizren Teodosije voted today in the elections for the assembly of temporary Priština institutions, at the polling station in the “Kralj Milutin” elementary school in Gračanica.
