SERBIAN WOMAN DIED ON PROKLETIJE: Rescuers started by helicopter for her, and then the unexpected happened!

Twenty-seven-year-old mountaineer from Serbia S.R. died on Saturday around 1 p.m., in the area above Grebajski Zastan in the Albanian part of the Maja Zastanit peak.

This was told to Vijesti unofficially from several sources, stating that there were two more mountaineers from Serbia with S.R., who called for help immediately after the accident.

One of the sources said that the helicopter unit arrived at the scene and lowered a rescuer on cables, but that due to the complexity of the situation, the action was suspended and continued today.

Earlier today, the Mountain Rescue Service of Montenegro announced that its members, together with the Air-Helicopter Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, started an action in the area of Zastan on Prokletije. However, the helicopter of the Air-Helicopter Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs had to make an emergency landing near Gusinje after a technical malfunction that occurred during the engagement in the rescue operation.
