The owners of Informer and Alo own more than 25 media outlets in Serbia. Although the owner of Informer, or more precisely the co-owner of Insajder Tim, Dragan J. Vučićević, is the loudest voice among the pro-government tabloids, the largest share of ownership in the aforementioned media outlets actually belongs to Alo Media System, or its owner, Saša Blagojević.

The media outlets that wholeheartedly supported the outgoing regime had little difficulty expressing their views for years, as well as imposing them on a wide audience across the country, primarily through television screens and programming they created in almost every city in Serbia.

The company in question is Insajder Tim, which founded the media brands Informer and Informer TV. This company is a minority owner of Best Media Team, which owns a number of local media outlets throughout Serbia.

According to publicly available data from the Serbian Business Registers Agency, Alo Media System, owned by Saša Blagojević, holds 90 percent, while Insajder Tim holds 10 percent of Best Media Team.

Some of the media outlets owned by Best Media Team include Lotel Plus, RTV Golija, Radio and Television Bačka Palanka, Infomačva, and others.

Meanwhile, Alo Media System owns Bizmedia, Ini Media, Radio Karolina, Lola, TDI, Studio B, and others.

Veran Matić, president of ANEM and a member of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists, previously stated that it was difficult to compile an accurate record of how many local media outlets, including television, digital, and print publications, fall under the direct or indirect ownership or editorial control of Informer and the newspaper Alo.

Matić emphasizes that, according to his data, the publishers of Alo and Informer, together with their affiliated companies, received more than 180 million dinars, or over 1.5 million euros, from this year’s completed calls for project-based media co-financing alone.

“The offensive is continuing, and very soon Serbia will be crisscrossed by media outlets that they will either buy up or establish,” Matić says.

He emphasizes that, according to his data, the publishers of Alo and Informer, together with their affiliated companies, received more than 180 million dinars, or over 1.5 million euros, from the project-based media co-financing competitions completed so far this year alone.

“The offensive is continuing, and very soon Serbia will be crisscrossed by media outlets that they will either buy up or establish,” Matić says.

Asked whether there was anything questionable about purchasing or establishing these media outlets, Matić said he could not claim that the purchases themselves were problematic, but pointed out that local media had been financially drained and subjected to constant political pressure for years.

“As a result, they became easy prey for tycoon-owned tabloids that today function as the ruling party’s battering ram, or rather that of President Vučić himself,” Matić believes.

It should be recalled that the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) announced earlier this year that Best Media Team had purchased several local media outlets in Serbia in just two months in 2026. The company was wholly owned by Alo Media System, the publisher of the tabloid Alo, which has been sharing ownership with the publisher of the tabloid Informer, namely Insajder Tim, for the past 10 months.

It should also be recalled that Best Media Team was registered on December 24 last year and was initially owned by Alo Media System.

According to the Business Registers Agency, this Alo company also registered two subsidiaries: Miomedia in Mionica on December 30, 2025, and Infomačva in Šabac on January 15 this year, in which Dragan Mandić, owner of the Lotel Plus media publisher from Loznica, holds a 20 percent stake. In this way, it became the owner of the Kolubara, Mačva, and Lotel television stations.

Meanwhile, the owner of Alo Media System, Saša Blagojević, who also serves as director of numerous other companies, is known as a longtime friend of outgoing Finance Minister Siniša Mali. According to media reports, they attended the same class at the Fifth Belgrade Gymnasium.

As Blagojević states on his LinkedIn profile, he studied at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade. The website of his company, “Trilenium,” says that he began his professional career in 1999 and worked in various business fields, including financial, marketing, and management consulting, business development, human resources management, wholesale, and retail.

He worked as a consultant and broker with some of the largest international and domestic companies, including “Philip Morris,” “Carlsberg,” “Knjaz Miloš,” “Vital,” and “Frikom”…

According to Danas, Blagojević was directly involved in managing two respected companies for three years, serving as executive director of the multinational company “Zepter International” and deputy director of the brokerage firm “Senzal Beograd.”

The list of media outlets owned by these two companies is extensive and consists primarily of television stations.
