A devastating fire that broke out yesterday morning at around 4 a.m. in a family home on Sveto Polje Street in Bogatić claimed the life of 50-year-old Siniša B., who, according to local media reports, lived alone in the house.
Fire crews arrived at the scene as quickly as possible, but despite their rapid response, there was nothing they could do to save the man.
The battle against the blaze began in the early morning hours, when on-duty firefighting and rescue teams were immediately dispatched with three fire engines. They managed to bring the fire under control and prevent it from spreading further. According to sources at the scene, the flames engulfed the approximately 20-square-meter roof of the house, along with the attic structure, which collapsed. Firefighters later discovered the lifeless body of Siniša B. inside one of the rooms.
