Students of the Mathematical Grammar School, Pavle Damjanović, Nikola Šami and Petar Banović, won bronze medals at the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) for high school students, held in Uzbekistan from August 9 to 16, 2026.

All four members of the Serbian team were students of the Mathematical Grammar School. In addition to the three medal winners, Serbia was also represented by Stefan Šebez.

One of the world’s most prestigious computer science competitions was attended this year by 375 contestants from 97 countries.

The team leaders were Marko Milenković from ETH Zurich and Miloš Milutinović from the School of Electrical Engineering at the University of Belgrade.
