U.S. President Donald Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth have pledged a defense system budget worth one trillion dollars, marking a record allocation for this sector.
In a post on his X account, Pete Hegseth stated that “Trump is rebuilding the American military — and fast.” Donald Trump confirmed at a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday that the new budget would be “around 1 trillion dollars,” according to Politico.com.

A military budget of one trillion dollars would represent a significant increase in defense spending compared to the $892 billion allocated by the U.S. Congress this year for national defense programs, including the Pentagon, nuclear weapons development, and security programs in other agencies.
At the same time, Hegseth plans to eliminate tens of thousands of civilian jobs within the U.S. Department of Defense around the world.
