All available material regarding yesterday’s vote for the mayor of the Kula municipality has been forwarded for “deeper analysis,” and the possibility that a fraud by the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and a substitution during the counting of votes occurred is not ruled out, the representative of the marketing and PR team of the Voice of the Youth of the Kula Municipality, Katarina Petrović, stated to FoNet today.

“The public, and above all the voters who placed their trust in us, will be informed in a timely manner about the results of all the analyses that we have been conducting since yesterday,” said Katarina Petrović, adding that it would not surprise her if it were a matter of “theft and a designed attempt to harm the student movement.”

She pointed out that she is aware that, if it is proven that, after all, someone from the list of the Voice of the Youth of the Kula Municipality consciously voted for the SNS candidate, the public wants the first and last name of that person.

“If such a thing is established, that person will bear the responsibility and consequences,” Katarina Petrović said.

At yesterday’s session of the Municipal Assembly of Kula, the SNS candidate Vesna Tomić was elected mayor of the municipality with 20 votes in favor and 17 against. The opposition in the local parliament has 18 councilors, and the ruling coalition has 19.

From the opposition group Voice of the Youth of the Kula Municipality, it was announced that they are surprised by the outcome of the vote, namely by the fact that one of their councilors supported the election of the government’s candidate.
