Following a successful appearance at the festival in Gönnheim, artists from Novi Sad, Milivoj Kostić and Katarina Stojanović Kostić, were the only representatives of Serbia at the International Street Art Festival in Blumberg, Baden-Württemberg. Their works attracted the attention of several thousand visitors from across Europe.
For decades, the Blumberg festival has brought together leading artists from around the world and is renowned for its large-scale 3D anamorphic artworks that transform the city’s streets into an open-air gallery. During the festival, Blumberg becomes one of Europe’s most important destinations for street art enthusiasts.
A particularly notable success was achieved by Katarina Stojanović Kostić, who received the Semi-Pro category award for her outstanding artwork, “Close Encounter of the 3D Kind,” which, although seemingly static, creates remarkable interaction with the audience. This was her first participation at the Blumberg festival.
Milivoj Kostić created a new version of his work “Race Against Time” at one of the festival’s honorary locations—a 20-square-meter horizontal artwork—marking, together with the festival organizers, ten years since his first appearance at the event in 2016. The project represents a unique artistic anniversary, returning to the place where he first presented the original concept a decade ago, now in a contemporary and technically enhanced form.
The works of the Serbian artists attracted considerable attention from festival visitors. During the two-day event, their creations were among the most photographed artworks, with several thousand people experiencing them from the distinctive 3D perspective.
Following the successful presentation of Serbia in Blumberg, Milivoj Kostić will continue his international tour by participating in the International StreetArt Festival Wilhelmshaven.
Their continued appearances at some of Europe’s most prestigious festivals confirm that representatives of the Serbian 3D street art scene are highly respected internationally and consistently win top honors and awards in the strongest global competition.
