The Serbian national team won silver at the EuroBasket for players under 20 years old and younger. Host country Slovenia defeated them in the final with a score of 84:65.
Serbia qualified for the final undefeated.
The selection led by Nemanja Jovanović Jogi qualified for the knockout stage by recording all three victories in Group A – convincing ones against Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia.
In the quarterfinals, Greece was crushed 92:66, and then in the fight for the final, the Serbian basketball players were better than Spain with a score of 72:65.
However, in the fight for gold, Slovenia was convincing – and that without its best player Urban Kroflič. The Mega guard was unable to perform due to an injury he sustained in the semifinals.
Slovenia adorned itself with gold by recording all victories. In FIBA youth continental competitions, there is no elimination in the group stage – where Slovenia convincingly celebrated against the Czech Republic, Israel, and Romania in Group D, and then Belgium and Turkey.
The biggest “test” was France in the semifinals, which Danijel Radosavljević’s selection defeated with a score of 91:89.

In the final, Slovenia was led to the title by Baskonia forward Vit Hrabar (18 points, 2 rebounds and assists each), point guards Filip Petkovski with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists, and Mark Pađen (14 points, 6 assists, 2 rebounds, steals and blocks each, 3 turnovers).
Power forward Samed Grošič (12 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 turnovers) and center Aljaž Menič (10 points, 7 rebounds) also stood out.
Serbia was led by power forward Nikola Džepina (10 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists), guard Uroš Šuput (9 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists).
Center Miloš Šojić (13 points, 8 rebounds) and power forward Aleksa Stanojević (10 points, 6 rebounds) also stood out.
