What could Novak Djokovic do once he decides he has had enough of tennis? He once surprised everyone with what he said on the subject.

The Serbian tennis player spoke last year, after losing 7–6(4), 6–3 in the Shanghai Masters final, about what he would do once he was no longer playing tennis.

The list of his interests is just as long as the list of languages he speaks.

He had previously talked about the saxophone, but not about acting.

“There are many things. I’m interested in many things. I still want to learn how to play the saxophone. Really learn. A few years ago, I played reasonably well for a while, but then I got worse because I didn’t practice enough or regularly. I would like to learn how to sing, to play some instruments. The saxophone is number one, but I would also like to learn to play others. I would also like to learn to act in theater, I love theater. Theater above all, but I also love movies. Still, I prefer live interaction. I love comedy and I’m trying to pick up some tricks from friends who are actors,” Djokovic said.

After all, there have been many images of Djokovic at the theater, while Serbian actors such as Dragan Jovanović can often be seen at his matches.

He then explained that his interest in the arts does not end there.

“I would like to learn to paint and draw and to make things. I’m also very passionate about things related to health and recovery; I’m interested in sports science, biotechnology… It’s a long list of things I’m interested in, some of my investments are precisely in those fields, and I’m trying to develop brands through different partnerships. My team and I are trying to bring everything together to create a group of strong brands. I would like to expand my brand beyond tennis, beyond philanthropy, into the world of business, wellness and beyond,” Djokovic said.
