“Today, at around 12:00 PM, at the intersection of Bulevar kralja Aleksandra and Professor Mihailo Đurić, in front of the Faculty of Law, during an unregistered public gathering, an ‘Opel Astra’ car driven by M. S. (1985), after a verbal argument with the participants of the gathering, broke through the blockade by driving in reverse and hit a man (90) on a pedestrian crossing, inflicting on him, for now, an undetermined degree of injuries,” it was announced.
The suspect was soon arrested, and by order of the prosecutor of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, he was ordered to be detained for up to 48 hours due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of attempted aggravated murder.

The injured man was transported to the Emergency Center.
Student Andreja Popović told Our portal that the 90-year-old man who was hit by the car during the 16 minutes of silence was seriously injured.
“As we learn, either his femur or hip is broken. He could not stand up until the Emergency Services arrived,” he said.
