STUDENTS HAVE A SOLUTION: A program for the recovery of healthcare in Serbia has been published, these are the 5 points!

Students in blockade published on X five problems of the current healthcare system and five proposals for them on how students would solve them.

They stated that clinical centers are overloaded with patients who should be cared for closer to home, because the system below them simply does not exist.

“While big cities have a private pharmacy at every turn, people in smaller places do not have access to medicines that are essential for their lives,” the students pointed out.

They stated that “there is money,” but that “it does not go where it should.”

“Instead of educated people, investments are made in repainted facades and rigged tenders. The result: doctors and nurses are leaving the country in their most productive years,” they assessed.

These are the five features of the current system that the students highlighted:

“1.Abandoned clinics
2.Shutting down of state pharmacies
3.No general hospital
4.Money into facades
5.Healthcare workers are leaving”.

STUDENTS’ SOLUTIONS

Immediately after that, they also pointed out “what students will do for healthcare”:

“1.Healthcare workers in every village
2.Accessible medicines for all
3.Hospital available in all regions
4.Investment in staff and knowledge
5.A system that gives healthcare workers a reason to stay”.

The students emphasized that “solutions exist and are not unachievable.”

They believe that what is needed is “smart reallocation of funds, nurturing of staff, and a sincere will for a better future.”

“Our vision is healthcare tailored to humans: accessible in every village and town, transparent in every dinar and decision, dignified for every patient and every healthcare worker,” they said.

They pointed out that health is not and must not be a privilege.

“When the system becomes open, fair, and based on knowledge, that is when we will have the healthcare we deserve,” the students concluded.
