SURPRISE THEY WILL REMEMBER FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES: Novi Sad students gifted their teacher a skydive!

When the parting approached after four years of working together, the fourth-grade students of the “Jovan Dučić” Elementary School in Petrovaradin decided to give their teacher, Ivana Jovanović, a gift that is not received every day, a skydive from an altitude of 3,000 meters.

Wishing to thank her for her dedication, patience, and support during their schooling, the students, with the help of their parents, organized an unusual surprise that left the teacher speechless.

Emotions were not lacking. Hugs, smiles, and tears of joy marked the day that, as they say, everyone will remember for a long time. When asked how she deserved such a gift, her students had a ready answer “She was much more than a teacher.”

Even in this special moment, Ivana Jovanović did not forget her profession. Just before the jump, she took the opportunity to give the students another lesson. She asked them if they knew why a parachute slows down a fall, and the answer arrived almost unanimously “Because of air resistance”. With a smile, she told them to remember that well because they would need it in physics classes in the sixth grade.

That a special bond was created between the teacher and the students was also shown by the surprise that awaited her upon landing. The fourth-graders prepared a banner for their teacher and once again showed her how much she means to them.

This skydive was much more than an adrenaline adventure. It was a symbol of gratitude, friendship, and memories that will remain forever.
