Water polo players of Radnički from Kragujevac are the champions of Serbia in water polo, after they won as hosts against Novi Beograd in the third match of the final series as well, with a score of 11:8 (3:2, 2:2, 3:1, 3:3).
There were no goals in the first four minutes of the first period, and with a goal by Angelos Vlahopoulos, the host had a 3:2 lead before the second quarter.
In the continuation, Radoslav Filipović stood out in the goal of the team from Kragujevac, while Miloš Ćuk was in a good mood on the other side, so at halftime Radnički again had a minimal lead – 5:4.
In the third period, they broke away in terms of the score, so it was 8:5.
Andrija Prlainović solved the question of the winner with two goals in the last quarter, and the final score was 11:8.
At the beginning of the match, fans of the home team welcomed the mayor of Belgrade and temporary coach of Novi Beograd, Aleksandar Šapić, with boos, and during the match, in the second quarter, home supporters chanted “pump it”, just like during the first match in this city.
“Pumping” is a symbol of student and citizen protests in the fight against corruption.
