The greatest tennis player of all time is preparing for the final Grand Slam of the season.
Novak Djokovic is aiming for his 25th Grand Slam trophy, and his last chance this year will be in New York. He missed the Masters tournaments in Toronto and Cincinnati, and after spending part of his break between Wimbledon and the US Open on the beach, he has now posted a video from his training session.
Novak is working hard to be as ready as possible for his trip to New York. The US Open begins on August 24 and will run until September 7.
Before the main men’s singles tournament, Djokovic will play in a new mixed doubles format introduced this year. The Serbian tennis player will be paired with Olga Danilović.
Before the US Open, Djokovic fell to seventh place on the ATP list, and Toronto Masters director Karl Hale revealed that the Serb had canceled his participation in that tournament due to an injury. Novak had problems at the end of his Wimbledon quarterfinal match against Flavio Cobolli and played the semifinal against Jannik Sinner, but it was clear he was not at his usual level.
