At the Bajakovo border crossing, Croatian customs officers set aside a freight vehicle with Serbian license plates driven by a Serbian citizen for a detailed inspection, and during the control, the official money detection dog “Bully” was used.
During the inspection of the cabin interior, he reacted positively to suspicious material under a plastic portable cooler, the Customs Administration of Croatia announced.
On Monday, customs officers from Osijek proceeded to inspect and search the indicated area in the presence of the driver, during which 12,000 euros in unreported cash was found.

“Since the driver did not fulfill the legal obligation to report the cash to the Customs Administration, neither in writing nor in electronic form via the prescribed form, he committed a violation of Article 41 of the Foreign Exchange Operations Act.
Due to the committed violation, a fine in the amount of 3,000 euros and 30 euros in procedural costs was imposed on him. The perpetrator immediately paid two-thirds of the imposed fine, namely 2,000 euros, which considers the fine paid in full,” customs stated.
