The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) announced that during the previous night, they checked the identity of a total of 386 individuals, with 13 people brought to official premises due to committed offenses.
Citizens of Novi Sad drew a zebra in front of the Vojvodina Archives building. This refers to the animal – a zebra, not a pedestrian crossing, and it is a reaction to the statement by the director of the Vojvodina Archives, Nebojša Kuzmanović, who recently publicly supported the idea of removing pedestrian crossings from streets “so that blockaders cannot use them.”
Employees of the Vojvodina Archives then clearly and unequivocally distanced themselves from such a stance by the director.
Citizens and students gathered this morning in front of the Novi Sad courthouse and prosecutor’s office, in support of truck driver Milomir Jaćimović. He was brought to court from detention and will be questioned by the prosecutor. Jaćimović has been transporting students to protests for free in recent months, which he says led to the regime ruining his company.
He was arrested on July 2nd, after he called on citizens to gather in front of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) premises, where he attempted to commit suicide, which led to the police forcibly pulling him out of his car. After being apprehended in front of the SNS premises in Novi Sad, Jaćimović was transferred to a psychiatric hospital.

Minister of Justice Nenad Vujić stated today that “the street cannot judge and pass verdicts,” noting that no blocking of courts can be allowed, and that it reminds him of events from 1945. “Courts should be allowed to do their job. Citizens in front of the courthouse represent pressure on that court. It represents a suspicion that may arise tomorrow for a particular verdict,” Vujić told RTS.
All routes in Belgrade and other cities, except Main Street in Zemun, are clear and traffic is flowing normally after last night’s blockades, RTS reports.
In the center of Zemun, traffic is stopped by a police patrol, and the situation is very calm. The blockade has been ongoing since 7 PM, and until 4 AM, there were many people on the streets. Citizens of Zemun yesterday called on social media for people to bring out debris, old furniture, and to set up some kind of barricade. There is also a sign that symbolically represents the Jarinje border crossing, N1 reports.
