President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, who is currently on a visit to France, called on all students to return to classes and stated that all those responsible for violence in the country will be brought to justice.

“This will be one of the essential demands of the Great People’s Assembly, on Saturday, April 12,” he said in a video address on Instagram ahead of his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

He added that his great wish and request, above all to the students, is to consider returning to their lecture halls, to their classrooms, to study and to work.

“My request is that they understand the time of pressure and violence has passed. My only plea is that they do what is best for themselves,” said the President of Serbia.

He stated that this will certainly be one of the demands presented on Saturday and that they will not back down from these demands until they are fully met.

“The perpetrators of violence will have to answer for their actions, and Serbia will once again be free, liberated from terror. Everyone will be able to move as, where, and however they wish, everyone will have the right to gather, everyone will have the right to think with their own head, not someone else’s. Serbia is a freedom-loving country and has always known how to fight for its freedom and succeeded in doing so. Therefore, on the 12th at 7 PM, on the plateau in front of the National Assembly. See you there,” said Vučić.
