[Serbian athlete Angelina Topić] has qualified for the European Championship high jump final and once again showed that she fully deserves her place at the very top of the world!

Topić got the job done in qualifying and now awaits what she came for – the big final and the fight for a European medal.

She cleared the bar at a height of 1.91 meters without any problems, securing her place in the grand final!

A brilliant season

And when you look at what the young Serbian has accomplished this season, there is every reason for optimism.

Angelina made another huge step forward in her career this year. In February, she cleared the magical 2.00 meters for the first time in her career and set a new Serbian national record.

Soon afterward came confirmation on the biggest stage – Topić won a silver medal at the World Indoor Championships in Toruń, clearing 1.99 meters.

Angelina continued to produce outstanding results during the summer. In Zagreb, she cleared 1.95 meters and finished second, while in London she reached 1.96 meters and took fifth place in an extremely strong field.

Because of all this, expectations ahead of the European Championships were enormous.

And Angelina once again showed that she handles pressure like a true champion.

Now the final awaits her. And there is no room for calculations anymore.

Dad Dragutin knows how to win medals

By Angelina’s side, as throughout her entire career, is her father Dragutin Topić, a legendary Serbian athlete and the man who knows best what it takes to reach the very top.

Their relationship has already produced great results, and Angelina now has the opportunity to show how much she has matured at yet another major competition.

She herself has previously emphasized how much continuity in her work and the plan she has with her coach mean to her. Ahead of this season, she said that the European Championships were the main goal and that there was no need to change what was already producing results.

And the results truly speak for themselves.
