Egzon Bitiqi (26) is suspected of killing his pregnant wife Jetlire Fonici (25), in the village of Kravoserija near Mališevo in Kosovo!
According to Albanian-language media reports, the so-called Kosovo police confirmed that two severely injured people were found in a bedroom in the family home in this village, while the woman later died from her severe injuries despite doctors’ efforts to save her. The man, who was later determined to be the victim’s husband, is also in serious condition after suffering severe injuries.
The prosecution and police later announced that the suspect in the crime is Egzon Bitiqi, who allegedly first shot his wife, who was nine months pregnant, and then shot himself.
Jetlire’s family members were also informed of her tragic death.
Police spokesperson for the Đakovica region, Vlera Krasniqi, told KosovaPress that the case was reported on August 23, 2026, at around 11:20 p.m.
According to her, police units immediately went to the scene, where they found the married couple wounded by a firearm.
The injured were initially given first aid and were then transported for treatment to the Clinical Center of the University of Kosovo (QKUK).
During the investigation at the scene, police also found and seized a firearm suspected to have been used in the incident.
