Officers of the Serbian Ministry of the Interior, the Criminal Police Directorate, the Crime Suppression Service, and the Belgrade Police Department, in cooperation with security agencies and the First Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, have arrested N.M. (31) from Belgrade, an alleged member of the so-called Vračar clan, on suspicion of endangering public safety and violent behavior.
According to investigators, at around 7:10 p.m. on July 3, N.M. used a motorcycle to block the path of another driver on Vojvoda Bojović Boulevard in Belgrade. He then approached the victim’s vehicle, pointed a handgun at him, and repeatedly struck the windshield with the weapon.
During the incident, the suspect cut himself and used his own blood to write the letters “VR” on the hood of the victim’s vehicle before fleeing the scene.

The suspect has been placed in custody for up to 48 hours and will be brought before the competent prosecutor’s office along with a criminal complaint.
The incident has once again drawn public attention to the activities of the so-called Vračar clan and the intensified police crackdown on organized crime in Belgrade.
