At the intersection in the “Šestovo” settlement in Novi Pazar, an incident occurred with the police when students wanted to block the departure of buses with SNS supporters heading to a rally in Belgrade. “Both citizens and students were grabbed by their legs and arms and thrown aside,” said a student from Novi Pazar, Davud Delimeđac.
Students say that the police used violent measures, knocked down some of the students, and some were injured.
One of the students, Davud Delimeđac, told N1 that they blocked the intersection to prevent the buses from leaving.

“The police came, we sat on the ground, passively resisting. The police used force, they literally threw us off the road. Several students were injured, one high school student has head and arm injuries, the emergency services intervened,” said Delimeđac.
He emphasized that the police received an order that they had to remove them so that they could pass.
As he stated, a civil servant, an employee of the City Administration, swore at the children’s mothers from the bus before the police acted according to their “official duty.”
According to his words, over 50 students were there and sitting peacefully on the asphalt, and there were also citizens.

“They were rushing at us from the bus”
As an N1 reporter from Novi Pazar reports, part of the police has withdrawn from the roundabout, it is open to traffic, but there are still police vehicles present. Students and citizens are still gathered there.
Student Andrej from Belgrade says he was in the front row when the incident occurred.
“The police started forcibly moving us, lifting us, dragging us on the road… they used force against us. People from the bus also threatened us, rushed at us, but the police prevented larger incidents from happening,” said this student.
