At the 4th International Mathematical Summer Camp (IMSC), held in Beijing, Serbia’s six-member national team achieved an outstanding result, winning a total of six medals.
Nina Šušić, a student at the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade, won a silver medal.
Bronze medals were awarded to Lazar Kolundžija, a student at Svetozar Marković Grammar School in Niš, as well as Vanja Jelovac, Yegor Gramatchikov, Petar Banović, and Pavle Damjanović, all students at the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade.
The leader of Serbia’s successful team was Miljan Knežević from the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Belgrade.
The competition was held as part of the preparations for the upcoming International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), the world’s most prestigious mathematics competition for high school students, which will take place in Shanghai from July 14 to July 20, 2026. The three-week training program and Serbia’s participation were organized by the Serbian Mathematical Society.
