Novak Đoković advanced to the Wimbledon semifinals after defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime following a five-set drama (3:2).
Even though the Canadian praised Novak a lot, a whole lot, both before the start of the match and after the encounter, where he practically said that the Serb is unbeatable in such situations, many found fault with him in a post on his own profile.
Why? Because, for goodness’ sake, he did not mention Đoković. He talked about him so much that there was no need to put it in the post as well, but an army of comments claims that it is not fair that he did not mention Đoković.
Here is what Felix wrote, causing such a stir.
“In trying to accept this defeat, I am using it as fuel that will motivate me to find myself in these kinds of moments again. I can make the greatest progress precisely by playing matches like this, going through the emotions they bring and learning from them, until one day I manage to come out as a winner,” Auger-Aliassime wrote.
A more or less formulaic post in these situations, and while many resented it, Đoković liked the post.
Then Jelena reached out and revealed with a comment what the family thinks of the guy who recently reached 4th place in the world, which is his career-best ranking.
“You were amazing last night, Felix. Our children adore you and you are a wonderful role model. Someone had to come out as a winner from that match, but you have many reasons to be proud. We will be rooting for you,” Jelena wrote in the comment section of the post.
