Students participating in the Belgrade blockade protests announced that an unknown individual splashed their colleague’s family home with red paint during the night between July 10 and 11 while he was inside the house with his family.
“This attack and attempt at intimidation occurred only three weeks after our colleague was summoned to the Surčin Police Station on the assumption that he might know something about the splashing of an SNS party office with red paint, even though he has no information whatsoever about that case,” the students wrote on Facebook.
According to their statement, one week after he was called to the police station, posters bearing the same colleague’s image were put up throughout his hometown in an attempt to humiliate and discredit him.
“This act endangered the safety and security of our colleague and his family through methods of intimidation, humiliation, and public targeting. These attacks are carried out by the very same side that tirelessly calls for dialogue while simultaneously trespassing into the yards of those who publicly express their views and vandalizing their property in an effort to intimidate, humiliate, and discourage people who are fighting. We stand with our colleague. No one is alone!” the students leading the blockade said.
